A DVR is a computer based digital
recording system that records video on to a computer hard drive. Using a hard
drive allows the recording system to record video for longer periods of time.
One feature of a DVR is motion
detection. How the motion detection feature works is: when the DVR detects
motion in one of the cameras, the motion in the camera triggers the DVR to start
recording and end recording after a set period of time, usualy 15 seconds or
more.
Another feature of a DVR is Network
Compatibility. Network compatibility allows the Camera system to be connected to
your computer network allowing the cameras to be viewed over an existing network
or through an internet connection via a Personal Computer.

CRT monitor is an affordable monitor that would work well on small camera
system of up to 4 cameras. You would need a larger monitor on camera
systems with 5 cameras or more as when viewing the monitor in multiple
camera mode the camera viewing would be viewed in larger frames.
The LCD Flat monitors are a more
expensive stylish monitor. the more money you spend on a monitor the
better video quality when viewing.
Color TV's are an extremely
affordable solution for a camera system as you can also view television
stations or cable or satellite TV and the security camera system on one
monitor TV set. |
